Eight Constitution Medicine | Innate Constitutions
It is commonly accepted that the "one size fits all" approach is true; that we are all the same. This idea often applies to diagnosis, dietary regimen, supplementation, and preventative medicine. Instead however, we all have individuality, and can be separated to a finite number of 4 primary antipodal groups (8 total if including the +/- of each group). Each group having specific qualitative differences which encompass all traits. These distinctions include but are not limited to organ strengths and weaknesses, biological differences, psychological differences, personality differences, and perhaps most importantly a different physiological response to food, and lifestyle choice. The implications of which could lead to deciphering idiopathic disease, while creating a new tool for identification in healthcare, preventative medicine, and achieving human potential. These different types are what we call the Innate Constitutions.
Traditionally, the only conclusive method to diagnose an individual’s constitution was by specific pulse taking techniques, and discussion with a practitioner trained in these skills. These techniques are not widely known or available; even in the acupuncture or Eastern medicine community. Those acquainted however, might know these techniques by the name of Eight Constitutions (includes +/- of each type), Innate Constitutions, or The Elemental Types. Consequently, we are subject to limitations with determining these constitutions though rudimentary pulse taking methods; mainly a limitation to human error and global access. The effective solution being accessible guidance, and a practical program to help understand what constitution you are.
Philosophy
The innate constitutions are a fundamental reality that have always existed, and will continue to exist indefinitely. Analogous to the classically described antipodal elements of earth, water, wind, and fire - present within various levels in the universe; dichotomous forces of all elements are found within us. Consequently, your constitution is reflective of your most dominant quality. This idea, being consistent with the principle of recursion (microcosm-macrocosm), is an ideology with aspects found in various philosophical systems world-wide; such as in ancient Greek, Mesopotamian, Persian, Chinese, Korean, or Japanese philosophy.
In recent times, particular components of these ancient methods were rediscovered, yet distinct from other findings, further discoveries and advancements have been made by our team at Innate Access. These findings are based on observation, experimentation, treatment, and patient outcomes in a clinical environment.
Nature is inherently complete; thus the states of disequilibrium a result of our own misuse. The goal of any true healing modality is to help bring the body into equilibrium, and to maintain this state of balance.
